The Israelites & The Messiah

If Chrildren Ruled the World - World PeaceJoshua is the one who led the Israelites across the Jordan into the Promised land.

The day of the Messiah was a future event. Joshua was not the Messiah.

The context shows Joshua lead the Israelites into the promised land.

Hebrews 4:8 and 9:
The whole message of Hebrews is to Israel concerning everlasting life
through Jesus. Jesus the son of God is our High Priest.

Jesus did not establish the kingdom of God in his ministry to Israel. He was obedient unto death. He is now at the right hand of God.

We are to hold fast to our profession of THE FAITH. We are to be a co-worker with Yahweh who is Almighty God as an ambassador of His son the Lord Jesus.

We can come boldly to the Throne of God who is rich toward us with mercy and grace because of the finished work of His son Jesus.

When Jesus will rule the earth from the throne of King David there will be rest for the people of the earth for a thousand years.

Acts 7:45
This context is about Joshua leading the Israelites into the promised land with the Ark of the Covenant.

Acts 7:44-46
(44) Our forefathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the desert. It had been made as God
directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen.

(Verse 45) Having received the tabernacle, our fathers under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David,

(Verse 46) who enjoyed God’s favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.  This was to be a dwelling place for the Ark of the Covenant.

1 Corinthians 10: 1 – 4

The context is of Moses and the Israelites traveling to the Promised Land.  On their way they did pass over the Red Sea to safety. When they were baptized they were baptized into Moses.

These Israelites had accepted Moses as the man of God.

These Israelites had been through the Passover. They saw God as their deliverer in this miracle.

Numbers 24: 7,17 gives us the light that there in the wilderness the people were told of the coming Messiah. “A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel,” and “their kingdom will be exalted”.

The Israelites travelled toward the promised land and were strengthened by the light of the coming Messiah. This hope of the coming Messiah gave them courage to continue their trek in the wilderness to the Promised land.

Also, they were strengthened as they drank the water and ate the manna provided by Yahweh.

In the fulness of time, the Messiah was born long after the Israelites had gone into the land and established Israel.

Now, since the day the promised spirit has been sent, the moment we believe the light of THE FAITH that God has raised His son Jesus from the dead and we Confess Jesus is Lord, we are baptized into Jesus by baptism of holy spirit-not baptism of water.

The Apostle Paul has given us the command to walk in the spirit.

Learn the light of THE FAITH and walk in the spirit.  Start today @ THE FAITH
