A Response #7

Statement

Jesus is the one who created all things so he is God

Answer:

Colossians 1:15-20
(15) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
(16) For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
(17) He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
(18) And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
(19) For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
(20) and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the Cross. (NIV)

The Apostle Paul admonished the Colossians to follow Jesus our Lord and reminded them that Jesus our Lord is the Head or Leader of The Church of His Body – us whom Jesus himself has baptized with holy spirit.

Jesus our Lord while on earth was the image of God.
If one thing is the “image” of another thing, then the “image” and the “original” are not the same thing. The Father is God, and that is why there is no verse that calls the Father the image of God. The Apostle Paul stated Jesus is the image of God.  The Apostle Paul restated the statement of Jesus, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9 and 10).

The Apostle Paul clearly states there is only ONE True God whom is our Father. 1 Corinthians 8:6

Corinthians 3:18 says that Christians are changed into the “image” of the Lord as we reflect his glory.  This is accomplished by following the command of the Apostle Paul:  Walk in the spirit – the holy spirit we have within us by baptism by Jesus our Lord. The moment we believe God raised Jesus His son from the dead and Confess Jesus is Lord is the moment we receive holy spirit by being baptized with holy spirit by Jesus our Lord.

The Apostle Paul says we also are the image of God:  1 Corinthians 11:7 says, “A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God.”

The common biblical cultural meaning of “image” is “likeness” or “resemblance,” just like the image of Caesar on a coin is not Caesar himself.

God has made Jesus the Head or Leader of The Church.  Jesus has been given authority and the power to create ONE NEW MAN which is The Body of Christ composed of Jews and Gentiles.  We are all in unity as one man by the creation of holy spirit within us.  This baptism by Jesus with holy spirit is what makes us a member in particular of The Body of Christ which is THE Church. We are The Church of His Body Jesus our Lord. Read 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15, Ephesians 2:15 and Ephesians 4:24

Colossians 1:16 says, “For by him all things were created” This verse does not say Jesus our Lord created all things created by God the Creator.  God has appointed Jesus as Lord of the Cosmos.

“For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.” The things that are “created” are not the Cosmos, the heavens and the earth, rocks, trees, birds and animals and humans,  because those things were created by God. The things Jesus our Lord created to help him reconcile all things to Yahweh whom alone is The ONE True God are “thrones, powers, rulers and authorities,”.  These powers and positions that were needed by the Lord Jesus and he has been given power to create what he needs to run his Church, and these were created by him for that purpose.

Colossians 1:17 says Jesus our Lord is before all things. The Apostle Paul clarifies this statement with the perspective Jesus our Lord is the first born from the dead.  Jesus is also appointed Lord of the Cosmos being highly exalted by God and given power and authority over all things including The Church.  Jesus our Lord did not exist before God created seed in Mary and she conceived Jesus and gave birth to him.  Jesus is now before all things in authority because he was faithful to the light of The Faith unto death and ratified the New Covenant with his blood

Colossians 2:2
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ. (NIV)

Jesus our Lord is not a mystery.  A biblical mystery is a sercret which can be known when revealed.  The mystery of Jesus our Lord was revealed to the Apostle Paul.  He stated the mystery that is now revealed is Christ in you Colossians 1:27.  God kept this spiritual birth of holy spirit for all mankind a secret.  If the arch enemy of God whom is Lucifer an angel of God had known spiritual birth of holy spirit would be available for all mankind then he would not have crucified Jesus.  Spiritual birth of holy spirit has been available since the day of Pentecost in the year of the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus our Lord.

This secret is a sacred secret which was revealed to the Apostle Paul and he informed us of the revelation he received througout The Church Epistles.

Grace is bestowed upon us as we receive spiritual birth of holy spirit by Grace.  The Apostle Paul informs us in Ephesians 3:2 and 3 which states: “Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the secret [musterion] made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.” Thus, when the Apostle Paul informs the Colossians about “the secret of the Christ of God,” The Apostle Paul is referring to the administration of The Church of His Body Jesus our Lord which exists by spiritual birth of holy spirit by Grace. The Church by spiritual birth of holy spirit by grace was a secret hidden before the foundation of the world, but revealed to the Apostle Paul Eph. 3:2-9; Col. 1:27 and Gal. 1:11-12.

Colossians 2:9
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. (NIV)

Theotes denotes in biblical terms that Jesus our Lord was given the Divine Nature of God without measure in all its fullness.

Jesus our Lord was given holy spirit – the Divine Nature of Yahweh whom is Spirit and whom alone is God “without measure,” Jesus as the Son of God had the authority of God Himself because God – Yahweh is his Father.  God – Yahweh – is also our Father and we have the Divine Nature – holy spirit – within us in all its fullness. God gave witness to Jesus by healing people and raising people from the dead.  We have the same inherent power within us which is holy spirit and God will perform miracles to bear witness we are His children.

These verses bear witness God has given Jesus our Lord and us holy spirit in all its fullness:

God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him” (Col. 1:19). God is indivisible.  However, He gave holy spirit to Jesus our Lord not in part but in all its fullness.

Read John 3:34:  “For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the spirit without limit.”

The fact that Jesus our Lord had the fullness of God dwell in him actually shows that he was not God. 2 Peter 1:4 says that by way of God’s great and precious promises we “may participate in the divine nature.” The divine nature of God is the promised holy spirit that was sent on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2

Jesus our Lord is truly the only begotten Son of God and as such is truly the way to everlasting life and spiritual fellowship with God by baptizing us with holy spirit the moment we believe The Faith: God raised Jesus His son from the dead and has appointed him both the Messiah and Lord.
This was confirmed on the day of Pentecost.

Glory to Yahweh the ONE True God for making available thru Jesus our Lord spiritual fellowship for all mankind – Jews and Gentiles.

God and Jesus Keep their Word
